At Rocksprings, we have a unique set up which allows us to spend a great deal of time with the dogs we handle.  Many of our clients enjoy the fact that our dogs, all ten of them, live in the house with us.  This goes for visiting dogs as well.  We have four separate yards where the dogs can be grouped together while they are outside.  One of the yards is completely covered with a dog door that leads into an indoor run in the basement.  This yard was specially built to house bitches in season where they can have an area completely separate from any male dogs.  A second yard was designed for the “escape artists”.  It is covered with a dog house for shelter if needed, and there is a wooden ramp that leads up to the deck above.  This ramp is also a great tool for dogs that need physical conditioning.  We have two other large yards.  One has a shed with a dog door so the dogs can get out of the elements, and the other has a dog door that leads into our dog room.  The dog room is set up with many crates for dogs to sleep and is also used as a feeding room.   Dogs are able to sleep in the house and have plenty of play time with us and the other dogs.

We travel to shows all over Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Kansas.  Dogs are kept in crates in the van with us, while all our equipment is stored in a small cargo trailer.  We stay in hotels, and the dogs are always kept with us.  Rarely do we ever leave dogs at the show, that way we can always keep an eye on the dogs.

Many things set us apart from other dog handlers.  Most importantly, we strive to develop a relationship with every dog we handle.  We believe this is one of the most valuable qualities in a handler.  When the dog has a great relationship with the handler, it is obvious to spectators as well as judges.  We hope you are able to watch us in the ring soon, so you can see the special relationships we have with each and every dog we handle.
